Insure Your Dongle
A surefire way to protect yourself and your photography business is to make sure you have the proper insurance to cover anything that should happen to your camera, computer, and equipment. Your DARKROOM dongle should be no different!

By including your DARKROOM dongle in your standard plan (some home policies will cover your camera equipment as well), you will be protected if anything should happen to your DARKROOM dongle -- including if it gets lost or stolen. If such a tragedy occurs and your insurance remedies your claim, you will be able to get a replacement dongle directly from us, for the version you own. The new dongle will function with your catalogs and settings as if nothing happened.
Too often we are a sympathetic ear when we hear about dongles being misplaced knowing there is little we can do. Please protect yourself and your DARKROOM investment!

Green Screen Pros
Share Their Secrets!
Easily one of the most popular features of DARKROOM is the green screen dropout. It works great and it is extremely flexible when you know the ins-and-outs of making backgrounds and foregrounds, color settings, and the limits of your own creativity.
Because the world of green screen has so many varieties, we reached out to three DARKROOM green screen experts -– professional photographers that make a living in chromakey -– and asked each the same five questions about how they do it! We were surprised by some of their answers.
The five questions we asked were:
  1. How would your workflow be different from any other event photographer?
  2. How do you create your background and foreground templates?
  3. Which generation green screen tool are you using (1st generation or 2nd)?
  4. What is your best green screen tip that is not about DARKROOM? For example, your choices for lighting, spacing and camera settings.
  5. What is your favorite feature in DARKROOM?
We talked David Finkel of David Finkel Photo Entertainment, Chris Tompkins of Tompkins Studios Old Time Productions, and Scott Proposki of Photos in a Minute. Each have a different and unique approach to green screen and have been using DARKROOM as their primary business systems for well over five years (in Scott's case, over 10)!
