What Personal Information We Collect and Why

    • Personal Details: Name, email address, postal address, phone number, and order history.
    • Transaction Data: Information collected from payment services such as order ID, payment method, and purchase details.

Still images, animated images, and videos shared using Darkroom Phone: The transmitted image or video data is stored anonymously without association to the recipient(s) for 100 days on Darkroom Software servers. Recipient phone numbers may be stored on Darkroom or third-party service provider servers to log transactions for up to 30 days.
  6. Still images, animated images, and videos shared using Twilio: To facilitate the transfer, the transmitted image or video data may be stored for up to 48 hours on Darkroom Software servers. Records of recipient phone numbers are not stored by Darkroom Software but in your own Twilio account records.
  7. Still images, animated images, and videos shared using Darkroom Email: The transmitted image or video data may be stored for up to 30 days on Darkroom Software or third-party service provider servers. Recipient email addresses may be retained for up to 30 days on Darkroom Software or third-party service provider servers.
  8. Google User Data. When still images, animated images, and videos are shared using a Gmail email account, Darkroom Software utilizes the Gmail account specifically authorized by the software license holder. The sender’s Gmail id is used to address the email message. Emailed image and video data are not retained by Darkroom Software. Recipient email addresses are not retained by Darkroom Software.
Data from Darkroom websites Usage:

Data may include information such as Your Device’s Internet Protocol address (e.g. IP address), browser type, browser version, the pages of our Website that are visited, the time and date of visits, the time spent on those pages, unique device identifiers, and other diagnostic data.

Data from mobile device usage:

When Darkroom Software is accessed by or through a mobile device, we may collect certain information automatically, including, but not limited to, the type of mobile device in use, the mobile device’s unique ID, the IP address of the mobile device, the mobile operating system, the type of mobile internet Browser in use, unique device identifiers, and other diagnostic data. We may also collect information that Your browser sends whenever You visit our Service or when You access the Service by or through a mobile device.

Data for Sharing and Image Processing

Darkroom Software may facilitate the sharing of photos, videos, and other media. Any data collected in relation to this is processed as follows:

  1. Shared Media: Images, GIFs, and videos shared via email or SMS. Images may be temporarily stored for delivery when using integrated services like Twilio or the Darkroom email server.
  2. Storage Duration: Images shared via MMS/SMS are deleted after 7 days. Emails sent through our email provider are deleted after 60 days.
Who We Share Your Data With

Your data is shared only as necessary to fulfill our obligations, provide support, and operate our services. We may share data with:

Third-party Processors: Payment processors (e.g., PayPal, Stripe) to complete transactions.

  1. Service Providers: For technical support, hosting, and analytics.
  2. Legal and Regulatory Authorities: When required to comply with applicable laws or regulations.
  3. For business transfers: We may share or transfer personal information in connection with, or during negotiations of, any merger, sale of Company assets, financing, or acquisition of all or a portion of our business to another company.

  1. Order and License Data: Retained indefinitely to allow access to historical support and upgrades.
  2. Emails and Support Correspondence: Retained to provide continued support.
  3. Beta Program Applications: Information related to beta programs is stored for up to 3 months and then deleted.
