As you add more printers to Darkroom Core you may notice that the prints do not always print where you expect them to. For example, let’s say you have a large format printer that you are using to print fine art prints and you also have an 8×10 dye-sub printer for events. There may be a time that you want to print an 8×10 print on either printer. So… if you send an 8×10 there is a 50/50 chance it might come out on the correct printer. You could disable one printer to ensure it comes out correctly but that is working harder rather than smarter.
Did you know that you could apply a media rule to a printer that will work as a lock, allowing only prints that have the correct media type to pass through to the printer?
