One of the most common requests at events happens after a session is already complete.
A guest accidentally enters the wrong phone number. Someone wants an extra print for a friend. Another guest asks if their photo can be emailed again.
Traditionally, handling these requests meant leaving Booth Mode, digging through folders, or searching through previous sessions.
With the new Kiosk Gallery feature in Darkroom Booth 2026, those requests can now be handled directly from within Booth Mode—without interrupting your workflow.
In this tutorial, Eugene demonstrates how to enable Kiosk Gallery and even create a hidden shortcut button that allows operators to quickly access previous sessions for reprints and sharing.
What is Kiosk Gallery?
Kiosk Gallery is a new feature that provides access to previously captured sessions while Booth Mode is still running.
Once enabled, operators can:
- Reprint images from previous sessions
- Resend images via email
- Resend images via SMS
- Quickly assist guests without leaving the event workflow
- Access previous captures without opening Windows folders or searching manually
This makes Kiosk Gallery especially useful for busy events where guests often return later to request another copy of their image.
How to Enable Kiosk Gallery
Setting up Kiosk Gallery takes only a few moments.
Step 1: Enable the Kiosk Gallery Option
In Darkroom Booth
- Open the Output Menu
- Select the Controls tab
- Enable “Ctrl+G Shows Kiosk Gallery Mode for Reprints”
This activates the gallery feature and allows it to be launched with a keyboard shortcut.
Step 2: Enable Booth Control
While still in the Controls menu:
- Enable Booth Control
Booth Control creates the kiosk interface that runs in the background and powers the gallery experience. Once both options are enabled, you’re ready to use Kiosk Gallery.
Accessing the Gallery
While Booth Mode is running:
- Press Ctrl + G
The gallery opens and displays previously captured sessions.
From there, you can select an image and:
- Reprint it
- Email it again
- Resend it via SMS
It’s that simple.
Create a Hidden Gallery Button
Keyboard shortcuts are convenient for operators, but Eugene also demonstrates a clever way to make gallery access even easier.
👉 You can add a hidden button directly to your booth screens that launches Kiosk Gallery.
This is especially useful when:
- A guest returns several sessions later
- A print is lost or damaged
- An incorrect phone number or email was entered
- Staff members need quick access without remembering keyboard shortcuts
How to Add the Hidden Button
- Open the Screens Menu
- Edit the desired screen
- Add a Shape
- Set the Booth Command to: Show Gallery
This performs the same action as pressing Ctrl+G.
Make the Button Invisible
To keep the interface clean, adjust the button’s opacity. For example:
- Opacity 5 = barely visible
- Opacity 0 = completely invisible
This creates a hidden hotspot that only operators know about, providing quick access to Kiosk Gallery without affecting the guest experience.
Why Event Operators Will Love This Feature
Small workflow improvements often make the biggest difference during live events.
Kiosk Gallery helps operators:
Reduce Customer Wait Times
No need to exit Booth Mode or search for files manually.
Increase Guest Satisfaction
Guests can easily receive additional prints or corrected deliveries.
Improve Event Efficiency
Operators stay focused on running the booth instead of troubleshooting previous sessions.
Handle Common Requests Instantly
Wrong phone number? Lost print? Need another copy?
Kiosk Gallery solves these problems in seconds.
A Simple Addition to Your Event Toolbox
Kiosk Gallery may be one of the simplest new features in Darkroom Booth 2026, but it solves a real-world challenge that operators face at nearly every event.
Whether you use the Ctrl+G shortcut or create a hidden gallery button, this feature gives you a fast and professional way to provide better service while keeping your booth running smoothly.
If you haven’t explored Kiosk Gallery yet, update to Darkroom Booth 2026 and give it a try at your next event.
